Welcome to Durant High School

Durant High School is a comprehensive high school with a long history of excellence in education; a tradition proudly carried on by faculty and staff. We strive to provide outstanding academic preparation for our students as well as many opportunities for career readiness.  Our goal is that all students will be prepared to take the road of their choice upon graduation. With our award winning Career Technology programs and college prep academics, students are afforded a large number of academic opportunities and necessary industry level skills to compete and succeed in a rapidly changing workforce.

School Information

2017-18 school Orientation/schedule pickup

Tuesday, August 8th at 10:00 a.m. will be Orientation/Schedule pick up for all 10th and 11th grade students.  Meet in the auditorium. Parents are welcome to attend.

 Thursday, August 10th at 7:00 p.m. will be Senior Information/Schedule pick up for all 12th grade students. Meet in the auditorium. It will be especially helpful for parents of Seniors to attend.

 Freshmen Orientation is Thursday, August 10th from 1:30-7:00 p.m. Freshmen Itinerary(pdf) Students should be prepared to take their school picture. The parent session begins at 5:00 p.m. Dinner will be provided for parents and students at 6:00 p.m.

 2017-2018 Yearbook  Pictures for all grade levels will be on Thursday, August 10th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students should adhere to the dress code as outlined in the DHS Student Handbook.

Information regarding DHS Graduation and other end of year activities may be found on the DHS Counseling Office link located under Parents or Students menus. 

Drop-off & Pick-up

Students may be dropped-off and Picked-up in the front loop of the High School and enter directly into the West Commons area. The front loop is a non-parking zone. Driving students should park in the East parking lot and enter the building through the East Commons area.
