Hi, I'm Mrs. Podany and I am a proud Durant High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University graduate.  I live in Durant with my husband and have three beautiful daughters who are also DHS students and alumni. I work with all grade levels, but mainly Seniors, making sure they meet graduation requirements as well as helping them with their postsecondary plans. Our doors are always open!

"If you plan for a year, plant a seed. If for ten years, plant a tree. If for a hundred years, teach the people. When you sow a seed once, you will reap a single harvest. When you teach the people, you will reap a hundred harvests."

Hello, my name is Cory Lowry and I have been working in education for 6 years. I graduated from Durant High School in 1998, Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and from East Central University in 2013 with a Master’s Degree in Education. I have lived in Caddo for the past 5 years with my wife of 11 years and 3 daughters ages 10, 8, and 2. I enjoy spending time with my family especially outside playing sports. I also enjoy working in my shop on various projects that I have going on, and watching my favorite sports teams on TV. My goal here at Durant High School is to provide the 9th graders with the information and assistance they need in order to create a solid foundation that will help them become successful in their education. I am committed to helping not only the freshman class, but any student who may need assistance.
