Safe and Drug Free Schools

 

The mission of the Safe and Drug Free Schools program is to help ensure that children are mentally and physically ready to learn and have healthy and supportive families, and to promote a safe community by equipping individuals with skills, knowledge, standards and resources to live healthy lives. The program serves students and families through various programs, focusing on:

Safe School Environment and Policies
Alcohol, Drugs, and Violence Prevention and Early Intervention
School and Community Mental Health and Treatment/Intervention Services
Early Childhood Psychosocial and Emotional Development Services
Education Reform
Character Education
Provision for School Resource Officers
Truancy Prevention Services
Bullying Education and Prevention
