Oklahoma VISION Project

Virtual Internet School in Oklahoma Network

Partnership

Durant Independent School District was selected to pilot a partnership between the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and OneNet to develop the Virtual Internet School in Oklahoma Network (VISION) Project. The VISION project, established by law, is an ambitious project that will profoundly impact the way the business of education is structured in our District, the State of Oklahoma, and nationally.

Internet-based education portal

In its simplest form, VISION has the potential to remove the geographic and technological barriers that currently exist in our educational system, resulting in increased access to essential information that was once unattainable. The outcome of the VISION project will be the development of an Internet - based education portal -- designed to manage the delivery and performance of educational content and restructure the education management process within our District and the State of Oklahoma.
