Durant ISD on TV: Channel 10
The Durant Independent School District has its own television on the local cable system, Communicomm Services. If you are a current subscriber to Communicomm cable in the Durant area, tune your television to channel 10 to see what's happening at Durant ISD.
Channel 10 broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At any given time, you can find the following programming on Channel 10:
- Athletic events
- Durant High School students film and commentate several of the school's athletic events, such as basketball games.
- Student interest shows
- Durant High School students also produce their own special interest shows and news broadcasts to air on Channel 10.
- Picture montage
- At any given time, when nothing else is being broadcast, Channel 10 shows an on-going picture slide show of students, parents, teachers, and people from the community.
- Special announcement bulletin board
- When necessary, the District will use Channel 10 to make community and school announcements, including information on school closings during inclement weather. Be sure to check Channel 10 first, before heading off to school on bad weather days.
