100 Mile Club

The 100 Mile Club® affords students the opportunity to run or walk 100 miles at school during a single school year which improves school readiness to learn, creates better education outcomes, builds self-esteem and improves the overall health in their lives. There is a $10 club due for incentive items and a t-shirt.

FCA, Fellowship Of Christian Athletes

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is the largest non-profit, school-based, interdenominational Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference.

Fish Club

Fish club is a student-led Bible study that meets every Thursday during each lunch at the high school and during encore on Wednesday at the middle school.

 


 

Key Club

Key Club International is the high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.

Student Council

Student Council is a partnership between school and community which prepares highly motivated students to be leaders and ambassadors. Our school as well as the surrounding community benefit from our hard work, dedication, and our “don’t give up” attitude through the activities, organizations, and charities that we help to support. Durant Middle School and Durant High School annually elect student council officers and representatives.

Friends of Rachel

The Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club is a student/teacher group who accepted Rachel’s Challenge to start a “Chain Reaction” at Durant Schools. FOR works to create a culture of kindness and compassion as well as equip other students and adults with resources to insure that Durant High School and Durant Middle School is a safe, caring, and supportive learning environment essential for academic achievement. FOR & Rachel’s Challenge was created after the Columbine High School incident in 1999.
